Extremely Rare Gift Given by John F. Kennedy to Delegates at the 1960 Democratic Convention.  Very few ever make it for sale.  2 1/2" across and almost 1" thick, the original delegate for some crazy reason scratched "Los Angeles" and "JFK" on the front of it and it has some age scratches and visible if turned at an angle in the light.  These can be buffed out by a jeweler but really displays well unless examined closely anyway.  There is a small chip on left side as shown.   A gorgeous piece with the famous Kennedy PT-109 embedded inside the lucite.  I've seen these sell for over $500 to $1000! Says "Delegate 1960" with facsimile John Kennedy signature in gold.

Rare Original President John F. Kennedy White House Gift
PT-109 Tie Bars and Pins
Collectors often ask which one of these are the "official" or "original" PT-109 gift given out by JFK.  Actually they all are.  Throughout the 1960 campaign and up until 1963 various versions of the PT-109 were ordered to be given by President Kennedy.  The versions with the year '60 on them were made to be given out during the actual campaign.  He would hand them out at campaign appearances as well as they were given to big-time contributors.  Sometimes the family would pay for them and other times the Democratic National Committee resulting in various versions created.  After becoming President the 60 was dropped and just the name "Kennedy" or "109" were put on them and handed out by President Kennedy in the Oval Office and again at personal appearances by him.  Even on Nov. 22, 1963 he handed out the little PT-109's in Fort Worth just before his assassination.  These are getting more and more difficult to locate.
