Marcanfonio Wins GOP, Democratic, ALP Nominations Defeats Mucciolo, Ricca, Former by 6 to 1 Seen Assured of Re-electon Representative Vito Marcantonlo of Manhattan, target of a withering blast for opposing President Roose' velt's preparedness program before Germany invaded Russia, today emerged a three-way primary winner, walking off with the Republicans, American Labor and Democratic party nominations. By his successful primary fight on three major battlefronts, Marcantonlo, New York County chairman of the American Labor party and left-wing leader, is virtually assured of re-election to his Congressional post in the Fall elections without much independent opposition. A. Charles Mucciolo, his opponent in the Republican and Labor party primaries, charged that "a horde of Communists" had worked for Marcantonlo all day. Late returns showed that Marcantonlo led Frank J. Ricca, Tammany designee, in the Democratic party by about a two to one vote. The left-winger defeated Mucciolo by polling an impressive six to one vote for the Republican and Laborite nominations. Marcantonlo was supported in his three-party fight by Mayor La-Guardla, who helped launch the Representative in politics. 1941 P. R. Vote Elects Democrat to City Office Yonkers. N. Y Aug. 12 Thomas B. Sheridan. Democrat, was de clared elected to the vacant seat in Yonkers Common Council arising from the entrance of Councilman Al P. Richter, Democrat, into the navy. A recapitulation of the 1941 proportional representation ballots gave Sheridan, a contractor of 75 Lockwood Aye., Yonkers, a lead of 1,316 votes over his closest rival, Albert Bogert, Republican.
