NIXON AGNEW HAND PUPPETS
N-6 Circa 1971 these humorous hand puppets were created by the famous cartoonist Rick Meyerowitz and advertised in the National Lampoon Magazine. According to the artist, they were not very successful in their limited edition and the leftovers were given as gifts to a lot of people. A couple of years later the Watergate scandal broke and the rest is history. Now they are collectible. Heads are are molded latex rubber and the bottoms are cloth.

N-9  Extremely Rare 1946 Nixon for Congress Thimble which says "Nixon for Congress/Put the Needle to the PAC".  There are no known Nixon Congressional buttons and I had the opportunity to discuss this thimble with President Nixon in 1988.  He said 5000 total were made and Pat Nixon and his mother handed these out at campaign rallies during this first run ever by Nixon for public office.  He even remembered how much they cost and said that it was his idea to make the thimbles instead of buttons since they would be "kept" rather than discarded and female voters would be reminded of him as they used the thimbles.  A true piece of American history and one of the rarest Nixon items. (aberrations in color in scan only)
